Flower is a rescue that came from Suzanne Baltzer at Santa Anita Dam. Suzanne is a part-time vet tech and often has homeless animals. This one was adopted by Kim Kelley, former pack station owner, and was a barn kitty from the start. When young she would ride around in the bib of Kim's overalls as she cleaned the barn and corral. To this day she loves to be held and will even sit on one's shoulder like a parrot.

She has the nickname "Poison Oak Kitty" because she sometimes seeks out a cool, shady spot on bank behind the barn, where lots of Poison Oak holds back the dirt. She will then come sit in a lap and infect the lap's owner.

Flower was named for her resemblence to the skunk in Bambi.
