Jenny
Type: Standard BLM Jenny
Born: 1999, Captured 7/18/07 in Big Sandy near Wikieup, Arizona
Height: 12 hands
Weight: 325
Color: Gray w/ black cross
Position: Packer In Training
Jenny came to the pack station in June 2009 as a rescue from one of the BLM Roundups. She and Blue Belle were trailered by the BLM from the auction at Ridgecrest, California and as a result of this "pair-bonding" the two of them share a stall to eat and stick together most of the time. Jenny is somewhat shy, though will now approach people if they are calm and still, and she is easy enough to catch.
Deb started working with Jenny right away since she is old enough to pack and we don't want her to become spoiled like what happened to Andy & Eeyore. This is going fairly well.
As far as the name goes, "Jenny" is the generic name for a female donkey, but that's not where it came from. When Deb first saw her, the name Jenny popped into her head; perhaps there was a subconscious connection.
