Leah and her sister, Abby, were born to Shirley one day after Laverne had Marjorie. Suzanne Baltzer, who lives at Santa Anita Dam, and who is also a vet tech, happened to be here at the time. She and Sue helped Shirley deliver the babies and everything went smoothly. Shirley and the babies spent much of their time in the barn until Greg could finish building the goat house. Then they moved to their permanent home where they can play outside when they want or relax in the house when sleepy.
Leah is vey outgoing, but doesn't have the personality that Marjorie does. She was very vocal as a baby and was named for talkative owner of cabin #21, Leah Morning, who felt a kinship with the noisy kid.
