Fourth Saturday of every month, after the Live Music
Summer concerts from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm,
Summer hikes from 6:00 to 9:00 pm
Moonlight Hikes are cancelled this summer due to expected road construction which will render Chantry Flat inaccessible to the public for up to two months.
Have
you ever seen the western sky explode with color while the sun is
setting? Have you ever hiked by moonlight under the open night sky?
Join us for this adventure in your neighboring forest. A whole new
world awakens as the sun goes down at Chantry Flat. Everything changes
after dark - the park, the trails, the trees. Experience Chantry Flat
in a whole new light with hikes led by staff and volunteers.
Join us for leisurely one-half mile walk up to the
San Olene trailhead with a staffer as your guide. This is much more of
social event then a hike. Take in inspiring views
of the Los Angeles basin as the moon rises. Listen for owls. Look for
foxes. Experience the peace, tranquility and beauty of the trails at
dusk. The hikes go on regardless of the weather, so dress appropriately
and lace up your best walking shoes. Leashed dogs are welcome. This is a fun way to meet new people, from seasoned visitors to new
families with babies in backpacks. These popular hikes fill quickly, so
reserve your place now! E-mail us at tours@adamspackstation.com to make reservations; put "Moonlight Hike" in the subject line.
Hikes occur on the 4th Saturday of every month, this will be very close to the full moon. Stay after the concert or meet at the Pack Station at 6:00. We will begin walking by 7:00 and should return to the Pack Station by 9:00. Check the online calendar for exact dates. The leader will provide social drinks, water, and appetizers. Cost: $10.00
Come early! We will be serving Hot Dogs, Hot Links & Cheeseburgers before the hike
