Canyon Report as of 07/05/10
Weather
As we enter the hot summer months the surface of the road into and out of the canyon can be very hot, so please avoid walking dogs on the road during the hottest part of the day - you have shoes, they don't!
Water Flow
Lots of rain & snow this year, so the streams are flowing well.
Birds, Insects, Snakes & Other Critters
Deb has seen a lot of foxes around Chantry Flat, even during daylight hours.
Possibly some gnats and mosquitoes - pack station sells bug wipes. Bears are prevelant since Station Fire chased them to Big Santa Anita. Rattlesnake season is getting under way so please keep an eye on your kids and your dogs leashed.
